Rendering 8 (theatre)

The article "Richard Griffiths: "a supersized man with a supersized talent"" was published on the website of The Telegraph by Paul Gent on March 29, 2013. The author covers a tragic event about death of British actor Richard Griffiths, best known as the mean-spirited Uncle Vernon in the Harry Potter films. It's necessary to mention that Richard Griffiths died at the age of 65 because of complications after heart surgery. The author presents his condolences in his article and covers the actor's most notable works, especially on the stage.

Speaking of Richard's stage works, it's necessary to note that he has had triumphs in "The Sunshine Boys" and two Alan Bennett plays, "The Habit of Art", in which he played WH Auden, and "The History Boys".  The author distinguish such play as "The History Boys" that cemented his place in the pantheon of national treasures. He notes that this Richard's performance as the inspirational teacher Hector was an astonishing achievement.  It was revealed that for this role he deservedly received an Olivier award in London and a Tony on Broadway.

The author expresses his critical view about this actor; he claims that Richard Griffiths was the sort of actor who brings a smile of pleasure to the audience’s face as soon as they see him. He was a supersized man with a supersized talent.
